Those are the two most important things. First off the only formats are WEBM and MP4. Out of those 2 you should definitely lean towards WEBM because if you upload an MP4 the site will just convert the video into MP4 anyways and while the quality of the converted video is passable, it may not be at the original quality level you intended, plus it always ends up with this weird bit of artifacting that happens at the beginning of the video in like the first second. It comes and goes quickly, but it's annoying so I prefer converting my own MP4s rather than relying on the site to do so.

All that said...many online converters suck just as much or worse compared to the site's converter so...if you don't really know how to make a good-quality WEBM uploading a MP4 isn't the end of the world.

As far as length don't upload anything over 5 minutes long. While sometimes such videos are left up, we may delete the video for being too long. This isn't Pornhub we don't really want a 30 minute video. A 30 minute video would look like shit anyways cause of the 100 MB upload limit, which is another thing you should be aware of.

Obviously 1080p however even a 2-minute 1080p video can run into issues with file size and may not fit within the site's 100 MB file size limit so if you have a longer video you may want to go down to 720p instead just so the resulting file is smaller.

Same as above. I would also reccomend tagging any 60fps videos you upload with the "60fps" tag so users that are interested in such content can find it easier.

As someone who is very much self-taught when it comes to video encoding I don't really know the answer to this (or if there is an easy answer) however I use variable when I encode with FFMPEG.

Major help
Finally got a video to upload. Granted I converted and uploaded the wrong version, but it worked anyway. Big thanks for the help.

Recapcha problems
I've converted a clipped mp4 (itself ~40mb) to webm. Now every time I try to upload, despite checking the capcha both once and multiple times during the process, I keep getting "invalid Capcha Response" error.

Is it just a hit or miss deal being it's an alpha test, or am I doing something wrong?
