Tag Discussion
This is the thread where we discuss the tags, their definitions and the proper implementation thereof.

To start us off: Should "pmv" be a meta tag type?

Mod notice: If you post something here NOT related to tagging I'm just going to remove it. There will be no message or warning (other than this one), it'll just be gone. This is for TAG DISCUSSION ONLY.

I suppose. As of now, I haven't run into any pmv's and that could very well change. I know there are people that love that stuff.

Metadata tags are for extra data, things that are are not contained within the image/video. The "WEBM" tag, for example, is metadata. You can see that you are watching a video, but the exact file type is unknown without outside information. I could show you an MP4, a WEBM, and an AVI and if they were all encoded in a similar quality you couldn't tell the difference simply by watching them.

To me "pmv" is not metadata. You can clearly discern if a video is a pmv by just watching it, it's not outside information.

Lemons22 does have a point. A pmv can be any video file type, but it's still a video. Ergo, "pmv" should be considered a standard tag, much like music, sound, no_sound, etc.

Edit: What about FMV?

I know there are threads on 4chan NSFW GIF that are about sissification...usually involving text. I guess the point is to "brainwash" a male into acting like a slutty female. I think that tag should be used for those sort of images...a few have already been uploaded here.

If it's just a guy dressing up in girl's clothes I would just call that a "femboy". "trap" is just fucking dumb becuase 90% of the time they already have their dick out so how is that a trap? The whole point of a trap is they have an ambiguous gender, and it's more of an anime trope anyways.

In fact if we could just roll "trap" and "crossdressing" (literally all the images of crossdressing involve males...a search of "crossdressing"+"female" returns one result wherein the girl is not even crossdressing) into femboy that would be great. We really don't need like 4 tags that mean the same thing.

I agree with most of the stuff you said, however, crossdressing is usually just a kink. This isn't Men in Black, no brainwashing here. I find sissy more of a derogatory and domineering term. Hey, but if you like that shit then who am I to judge.

I know a few people who are actually attracted to crossdressers and crossdressing. Its mostly a homosexual thing, nothing wrong with it though. But, I agree with you saying its not a "trap."

Is it okay to remove tags like 1girl on images of a transgender individual that has a penis and replace it with shemale? Or leave it without the 1girl tag?

No remove the 1girl tag from those posts...I could have have sworn I answered this question before...maybe it was on R34.

Peeing Tags
So a recent rule change has made solo peeing images/videos no longer allowed. This caused me to go through and delete many solo peeing images/vids...while I was doing that thought I'd take this opportunity to rejigger the tags as well. I don't think one thing happening in an image needs 7 tags. Very often each and and every "peeing" image was tagged with peeing/pee/piss/pissing/urine/urinating/urination and sometimes "watersports"...considering most posts only have around 5 or 6 tags to begin with that means half the tags were being taken up just with the peeing-related tags...it was ridiciulous...not to mention really weird tags with terms I've never heard of like "oromashi"/"urolagnia"...which I guess are terms for the fetishization of pee. All said it was possible for one fuckin' drop of pee to create 10 tags.

So I've cut that down completely to just "peeing". Please do not use any other tag for peeing...just "peeing" will do fine. All tags related to peeing should use the same term...so for instance instead of something like "pissing_in_mouth" it should be "peeing_in_mouth". I'm also thinking of using the tag "golden_shower" whenever someone is peeing on someone else. So basically these are all the tags associated with peeing:

-peeing
-golden_shower
These 3 tags imply "golden_shower"...if any of these are happening "golden_shower" should be tagged too:
-peeing_in_mouth
-peeing_on_face
-peeing_on_penis

Obviously there is room for more "pissing_on_x" tags...but other than that...that should be it.

Thankfully there was not too many solo peeing effected, let's keep tagging to a reasonable level, but still include the most popular tags.

I'm going to be making a set of tags that are like "x_language"...for instance "spanish_language" for when people are talking in Spanish in videos (as I enjoy it when chicks talk in Spanish). Thought about using just "spanish" but...that would easily be mixed up with the ethnicity and people wouldn't know what it was referring to.

So yeah...hopefully some of you guys will join me in tagging things like that...just make sure you know enough about the language to tag it accurately...for instance don't just assume every asian chick is talking in Japanese (unless you know them to be Japanese then that is a pretty good assumption they would be talking in Japanese).

One last note...this tag should always be coupled with "dialogue"...also there doesn't need to be an "english_language" that as that is just too common...better to tag the exceptions rather than the rule.

So, the "English_dialogue"(Or Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Australian, or American) tag would be acceptable if it was pertaining, for example, to those fake taxi/ cab videos popular in the UK or if the couple was having a verbal back and forth and you could clearly tell what accent they had? What about videos that give context or a back story to the pornographic act being filmed? True, all six of those countries speak the same language, but they don't speak the same dialogue.

Example:

USA: "Yeah, blow the tip, babe."

UK: "Yeah, suck that bell end, love."

Probably better to tag those with "british_accent"/"australian_accent"/etc.

Can we get rid of robot checks for tagging? I spend a lot of time tagging and it's annoying beyond belief to have to spend an extra 10 minutes to verify I'm not a robot. I refuse to help tag anymore until this gets fixed haha. Please fix and thank you!
